( it's a few days after christmas -- dick had dropped off his cookies and cocoa sometime earlier, and now there's a bigger surprise waiting for nico at home, provided that he'd left sometime during the day. upon his return, he'll find whatever makeshift bed he had worked out to be replaced by a new one, huge and fit with entirely black bed sheets and comforter, along with a fluffy throw blanket and about a half a dozen more pillows than what he started with, including a special one.

[ some time later, after nico gets back from work and finds the new bed, he pauses, a bit surprised by the grand gesture. if anything, he figures loki would've replaced since he was the one who broke it in the first place, and after learning that dick is intimidated by him, nico has been wondering about the state of their strange friendship with benefits. since loki was definitely not with him at christmas, he can only assume dick and loki have made up, something that brings a slight smile to his face as he quickly retrieves his device and sends off a quick text. ]
