I'm Lucy, a friend of Ivar and I'm working on getting all of his stories together in a book, so others can read it.

I wanted to get to know more about you and get your side of things.

[ for a few seconds, nico blinks at the little girl. then, he shrugs. ]

Uh, nice to meet you, Lucy. What do you want to know, exactly?

[This is exciting! She is actually talking to a demi-god! She can't wait to tell Victor and Emma this!]

Everything. I've never met a demi-god before!

But this is more for Ivar and making sure his stories live on. So, do you remember the fight you had with some beast and you summoned army? Were they cranky that you woke them up?

That didn't scare you?

[ he lifts a brow. ]

The undead tend to be pretty cranky when they're dragged from their graves.

There are other gods here too, by the way. I just happen to be the only Greek demigod here.

[There's a baffled look on her face.]

Why would it?

[It's not like fighting a dragon, or being cursed--those are two scary things.]

So then, do you make it up to them by giving them coffee or something--!!

Some kids get scared by ghosts and zombies?

[ a shrug. ]

There's Loki, two of him, Thor, Sif, and a few other Norse gods. There's also Alex who is a Norse demigod.

I'm not like most kids. [Really, she's not. But no need to get into that right now.]

I don't know those names. Greek mythology is more common, but I can find more about them later. [She needs to stay focused on Nico, since she's talking to him.]

So, do you get the zombies coffee or...something to make up for waking them up? Have you been to Olympus? And back to the story, were you scared? Like, were the zombies a last resort to fight the beast?

I guess it would be. And no, zombies can't eat. When I summon spirits, though, I offer them cheeseburgers and fries.

[ better than animal blood, in his opinion. ]

Yes, I've been to Olympus; no, I wasn't scared; and the zombies were pretty much backup. I can fight on my own with my sword.

[Ignore her for a moment while she grabs a pen and paper to write all this down.]

Do you provide them with ketchup too?

[Because to some people it's important, others not so much, but the devil is in the details.]

Are you good with any other weapons? bows and arrows? Knives? A spear? [Covering all her bases here.]

And is Olympus all....cloud like? Or is it all bright or just...another place?

[ uh.... nico shifts a little. this kid sure has a lot of questions. ]

Sure. I have respect for the dead, so when I summon spirits, I like to treat them well.

As for other weapons... I guess I'm alright with a spear or knife. Not so much with a bow. I'm best with my sword. It's made of Stygian iron.

Olympus isn't like in the movies. It is pretty bright, but not really cloudy. Oh, and it's also located on the top floor of the Empire State Building.

That's so cool! And nice, I don't think most people would provide ketchup.

[Lucy has no idea what Stygian iron is, but she writes it down only to stop writing and simply stare at him.]

You're kidding me, right?

[Really, in New York?]

I thought a realm without magic would make it hard for the gods to be around..but different realms, duh, not the same. [Muttering more of that to herself than to him.]

Sorry, I was thinking out loud.

[ another blink. ]

There's... not really any realm without magic. It's just the Mist tends to cloud the vision of normal mortals so they don't recognize it. At least, where I'm from anyway.

[Lucy pauses again, looking at Nico with some confusion.]

The world I'm from, or...was at, New York is a city and it's really a realm without magic. Unless magic is brought there, it's just a normal world and fairy tales are just stories.

[ given the plethora of universes out there, nico doesn't look all that surprised. rather, he's not surprised if anything. a world where fairy tales are just stories... seems legit. ]

Different worlds, different magic and rules.

Yeah, and the rules are harder to keep track of.

[She looks over her notes.]

Hm... What do you know about the Greek Gods?

That the main ones were Zeus, Hades, and Posidean. And they weren't just gods, they were born from someone else, but Zeus took over...

[Give her a moment, she knows she knows more but her mind is coming up short.]

And Hera didn't like Hercules...or much of anyone I think.

Yeah, Hera is kind of a... σκύλα. You've got the Big Three gods down, but there's actually 13 Olympians. Zeus, my dad, Poseidon, Athena, Hera, Hephaestus, Apollo, Aphrodite, Ares, Hermes, Demeter, Dionysus, and Artemis.

...A what?

[She doesn't know greek.]

Yes! I couldn't remember their names. Athena was wise, He..Hephaetus [It takes her a moment to say it correctly.] was a...blacksmith? Apollo was the sun god, Artemis was the huntress, Ares was war, Hermes was a messenger..and Dionysus was the one who liked to party and drink.

[Okay, she feels a bit better now.]

Do they all get along now? Or not so much?

Never mind. [ he's not going to curse in front of a child, no matter how much he hates hera. ]

That's pretty good. There's also lots of minor gods, like Hestia and Eros. They all have stories. And most have demigod kids. Especially Hermes and Apollo.

Who, the gods? Or Hera and Hercules?

Okay...

[Maybe he was saying something bad...oh well.]

I'll have to check out the library for them. Or check out the bookstore. I'll be sure to bring Victor with me, he likes books too.

Uh, the Gods, I mean. I doubt Hera and Hercules would be able to get along.

When I'm not working, I can tell you some stories too. As for the gods, they sometimes bicker, but most of the time they get along.
