Are the ghosts happy to help? In hindsight that whole answer makes a lot of sense, Hades is the god of the underworld right? I keep forgetting that these things are usually literal here. When people say they're vampires they usually don't just mean they're draining to be around.
Some ghosts are, some aren't. It depends on their soul and how good or evil they are. Demigods must be new here if this is what people think. That, or the Mist is unusually weak. Mortals shouldn't be able to see empousa or vampires, much less talk to them.
