Nico supposed he should've expected a response like that. He hadn't told Vex the full extent of his powers and really, it was hard to tell what they were when every day he got stronger. That was usually the fate of a demigod: the older they became, the more powerful they got, especially children of the Eldest Gods (ie. Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades). Dreamwalking, at least, had been familiar to Nico for a while now, having used it for delivering messages and even manipulating other people into deep sleeps. Death and dreams were not too dissimilar and though he didn't have the power of an actual child of Hypnos, he still had significant skill in maneuvering through dreamscapes.

Of course, now he had to explain that to Vex, who looked a bit flabbergasted, to say the least.

"Yes, it's me. I have the power to access people's dreams though I don't tend to wander into them much unless a strong dream pulls me in. Dreams are frequent for demigods because we often see flashes of the future or are capable of peeking in on our enemies. Most can't control it, though. Unless they're a child of Hypnos. Or me," Nico explained patiently as he languorously stretched out atop one of the still present silk cushions.

"It's not so different from navigating the shadows, when you think about it."
